Vision Health Tips

Vision is one of your greatest assets. Besides a YEARLY EYE EXAMINATION, here are ways to take care of you eyes.

1. You've seen faded posters in the store windows. The Ultra Violet (UV) light from the sun causes the paint to fade. If you put an egg (protein) in the window it would slowly cook. Your eyes are protein and in the sunlight, they are getting cooked! Defense/Prevention: Wear good to high quality sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat in the daytime. We will "prescribe" sunglasses to protect your eyes from: drying eyes, cataract formation and macular degeration. There is currently, no sales tax when sunglasses are prescribed to you.

2. Practice sound nutrition and take appropriate high quality nutritional supplements. Powdered or liquid supplements(not tablets)are best. Some products are in the office.

2a. Use a juicer or blender to get more usable vitamins and fiber out of your fruits and vegetables. I use a Vita-Mix Blender to make healthy drinks and soups. We can get you free shipping on these blenders.

3. Listen to Joanie Greggains on KGO-810 AM radio, saturdays at 8 am. She has wonderful information about health and fitness. 4. Exercise sensibly and regularly.

5. Fight stress, be happy. I wear a Shuzi Bracelet that helps: fight stress, improve the quality of sleep, physical and mental abilities, balance and energy. It's fun performing well and winning my little golf contests. Some Shuzi Jewelry ar at the office.

6. Consider hypo-allergenic bedding. It makes for cleaner air when sleeping.

7. Purify your air and watch out for EMF (electro magnetic force) at home and work. Have you seen how popcorn can be popped from you cell phone ringing?

8. Play action oriented video games on computer monitors or television. It is good for vision training and mental alertness. Take breaks< look far awan every 20 minutes and use eye lubricants if eyes get too dry.

9. Bottom Line: Keep healthy! It is good for your eyes. High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Diabetes are leading causes of blindness.

Caution! Consult your physician before starting/changing any exercise, nutritional or health related activities.
